Breakfast at Crusoe’s Retreat is a relaxed meal served on our restaurant deck overlooking the gardens and the lagoon.  Help yourself to a selection from our Tropical Buffet – delicious fresh fruit, cereal, toast and fresh baked pastries.  If that doesn’t fill you up order a cooked breakfast from our friendly staff and wash it all down with fresh chilled fruit juice or tea or coffee. 

 

Lunch can be taken in the restaurant or on the sun deck by the pool the choice is yours.  The menu has a mix of Fijian favorites like Kokoda as well as the good old regulars like fish and chips; be certain to try the Chefs pie at least once while you stay its recommended!

 

Dinner is served a la carte in the restaurant Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.  On Tuesdays we host our very popular Mongolian BBQ, select your own ingredients and watch as the chef cooks it for you.  Perhaps try a fish BBQ first and then go back for a beef or chicken if you are still hungry.

 

On Thursdays our guests are invited to watch a traditional Fijian Lovo being prepared in an earth oven.  Only a few hours later you can be enjoying this unique meal and tasting the flavours of the fresh vegetables, fish and meat just as the Fijians have been tasting it for years.

 

Friday is of course Curry night.  Fiji has a large population of Fiji Indians and over many years their favorite dishes have become part of the regular diet of many Fijians.  Our chef has great talent with curries and they are not all hot!  Sunday is a straight forward BBQ best eaten on the deck under the stars with a cold Fiji Bitter or a tropical cocktail.

 

Every day there are chef’s specials so if the BBQ, curry or Lovo doesn’t excite you there is always an alternative.  Vegetarians are well catered for, just ask to discuss the options when you arrive at the resort.
